Tap
Rhythm is key in this style of dance. With both percussive and Broadway-style movements, students enrolled in tap class not only give their feet a workout, but their brains get one, too. Young dancers love the noise their "special" shoes make, and are amazed at how many different sounds can be generated with different parts of their feet.

Miss Lindsey created the Professor Pirouette program to engage children in academics through dance! This program follows N.C. Curriculum Standards and will focus on literacy, mathematics and science, and learning grade-specific concepts through dance - moving, reading, choreographing and more.
This program has been in the works for years and was scheduled to become a reality this fall with the opening of our new Green Level West location. With many children staying home from school or school plans uncertain, we thought NOW would be an even better time to introduce this exciting new program. We will begin a virtual six-week session, LIVE taught by one of our Starpath teachers, for each elementary grade level K-3. To begin, each grade level will have a 30-minute session per week.
