Costume Ordering Instructions

As we approach our annual June recital, please use the step-by-step instructions below to assist you in ordering your dancer's costume(s). In order to ensure your dancer has their costume by Picture Day  the order deadline is January 6, 2025. We recommend ordering as soon as possible.* We pride ourselves on ensuring our costume selections are age-appropriate and the best value available!

​Starpath Dance Academy is not responsible for costumes not arriving on time for picture day and/or the recital.

1. Login to your StudioDirector account
2. Click on the three horizontal lines in the top, left-hand corner
3. Under Actions, select "View Costumes/Measurements"
4. Copy and paste the link provided into a new tab
5. Login to Nimbly or create a new Nimbly account*
6. Click on the picture of the costume and look at the sizing tab to find the best size for your dancer. Select and add to cart. Please know our office administartors are happy to help measure your dancer during office hours if you need assistance. Starlight dancer measurements are in your account as we completed these on your behalf. LEARN HOW TO MEASURE YOUR DANCER HERE
7. Click "back" and repeat the process for tights. You do not need to order shoes if you have the correct ones for normal dress code. If you do not, please order them now.
8. Once all the required items are in your bag, submit your order.
9. Your order will be shipped to the studio and we will contact you when we receive it.​

Note: ALL exchanges go directly through Nimbly. Starpath Dance Academy is not responsible for any incorrect sizes ordered — please triple-check your measurements.

Costume Myths and Facts

Myth: Students need to order new shoes for the recital.
Fact: Students wear the shoes that have been required/recommended for them all year, such as pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes, black jazz shoes, black acro shoes or hip hop sneakers, depending on the class.

Myth: Tights can be ordered from anywhere.
Fact: Tights must be ordered from Nimbly with the rest of the costume. Coloring of the tights is very important to how students look onstage — they must match.

We feel all dancers should be afforded the opportunity to have this unprecedented experience of dancing where professionals do! Our recital at this venue is a perfect culmination of our students' year of hard work and dedication.
  
• The Carolina Theatre's professional staff executing the show allows our staff to focus on priority #1 - the safety and happiness of the dancers.
• Having short shows that are manageable for the very youngest and most elderly audience members is very important to us. The Carolina Theatre is the only venue in the area that can accommodate the size we need to make this happen within one weekend.​
